This OM4 fibre optic patch cable is designed for high-performance multimode fibre optic links in building cabling, data centre environments and industrial network infrastructures. The duplex version (two fibres) supports separate send/receive paths and is therefore suitable for typical switch/transceiver connections.

The LSZH cable sheath is low-halogen/halogen-free, low-smoke and flame-retardant (IEC 60754-2 / IEC 61034 / IEC 60332-1). This makes the cable particularly suitable for installations in areas with increased requirements for fire load, smoke development and corrosion risks. The ericaviolet colouring (RAL 4003) makes it easier to clearly identify OM4 links in the patch panel and during maintenance work.

Compared to lower OM classes, OM4 fibres enable higher data rates and longer link lengths within the specified channel limits (depending on active components, attenuation budget and connector/splice quality).
