Cable description
This OM4 multimode fibre optic cable is designed as a duplex patch cable with SC/SC connectors for professional fibre optic links in buildings and IT infrastructures. The OM4 fibre type supports high bandwidths and typically offers greater ranges at high data rates compared to lower OM classes.
The LSZH jacket reduces corrosive gases and smoke development in the event of fire and is therefore suitable for practical use in environments such as technical rooms, floor distributors and data centre areas. The eric violet colouring (RAL 4003) makes it easier to visually identify OM4 connections in patch panels and distributors.
Typical guide values for the maximum range (depending on installation and transceiver): 1 Gbit/s up to approx. 1100 m, 10 Gbit/s up to approx. 550 m, 40/100 Gbit/s up to approx. 150 m.
