Cable description
The fibre optic patch cable with OM4 multimode fibre (50/125 µm) is designed for high-performance short-distance connections in structured fibre optic installations. The duplex design provides two fibres for TX/RX - suitable for common duplex transmission paths in distributors, patch panels and active network technology.
The LSZH cable sheath supports installations with increased requirements for smoke development and freedom from halogen (IEC 61034 / IEC 60754-2) as well as flame-retardant behaviour (IEC 60332-1). The eric violet sheath colour (RAL 4003) serves as a practical colour coding for OM4 lines in the operating and documentation environment.
Typical range guide values for OM4 (depending on application and system): 1 Gbit/s up to 1100 m, 10 Gbit/s up to 550 m, 40/100 Gbit/s up to 150 m.
