Cable description
The fibre optic armoured cable in OM3 design (50/125 µm) is assembled for multimode connections with LC/LC duplex connectors. The robust construction with armoured steel tube, KEVLAR sheathing and copper braiding increases resistance to crushing, impact and mechanical influences during installation and operation.
The LSZH sheath supports use in buildings and technical infrastructures with increased requirements for halogen-free, low-smoke and flame-retardant materials (in accordance with IEC 60754-2, IEC 61034, IEC 60332-1). Thanks to the compact outer diameter of 3.2 mm, the cable is also easy to handle in confined routes and routing systems.
Typical ranges (depending on the transceiver/application): 1 Gbit/s up to 900 m, 10 Gbit/s up to 300 m, 40/100 Gbit/s up to 100 m (OM3).
