Description

The DINIC fibre optic adapter LC/APC socket to SC/APC plug is a passive fibre optic adapter for directly connecting an LC/APC-assembled single-mode patch cable to an SC/APC format port. This allows different connector systems to be used in existing fibre optic lines without having to convert patch panels or device interfaces.

The simplex design connects a single single-mode fibre, as is common in many FTTx, backbone and point-to-point applications. The APC (Angled Physical Contact) cut ensures low return loss and thus stable transmission quality over longer distances. The compact housing allows it to be used directly on the device or in the vicinity of patch panels and distributors.

The adapter is particularly suitable for installations in which cables with LC/APC connectors need to be connected to active components with SC/APC sockets – for example, when expanding existing infrastructure, for temporary connections during servicing, or for measurement and test setups.
