Cable description
The fibre optic patch cable in OS1 quality (9/125 µm) is designed for single-mode operation and is typically used in telecommunications and campus/backbone structures. The duplex version provides two fibres for a separate transmit and receive direction and thus supports common link topologies in active network components and patch panels.
The LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket is suitable for professional installations in buildings, technical rooms and distribution areas where low smoke emission and low-halogen material properties are required. The fire/smoke properties are: halogen-free in accordance with IEC 60754-2, flame-retardant in accordance with IEC 60332-1, low smoke in accordance with IEC 61034.
Typical ranges (depending on transceivers, attenuation budget and infrastructure): 1G/10G up to 40 km and 40G/100G up to 10 km.
