Mains adapters and approval

Adapter plugs or intermediate plugs without additional function according to (DIN VDE 0620-2-1) are not forbidden in principle. However, they certainly belong to the operating equipment that the user should only use in the household with the necessary care.
In principle, such adapters should also only be used temporarily and should never be used as a substitute for a fixed electrical installation.
Used in companies and industrial plants, they rarely fulfill the principle of intended use and should therefore not be used there either.
