B2B bespoke solutions at MAG
If standard cables do not meet the technical, visual or logistical requirements of your project, MAG will assess a bespoke cable, adapter or connection solution in accordance with your specifications.
Together, we will coordinate the application, connectors, target markets, required standards or approvals, quantities and planned production runs. MAG coordinates the technical and economic assessment as well as the further project management with suitable manufacturing partners.
Important: Quantities, order value and production time are non-binding guidelines. Actual feasibility depends, amongst other things, on the design, material availability, technical requirements, testing and necessary approvals. For selected customised power cables, a small batch of 100 to 499 units may also be assessed on a project-by-project basis. Separate terms and conditions apply. Planning cable assembly correctly
A bespoke solution is advisable if a standard product does not exactly match the project in terms of length, colour, connector combination, material, labelling, packaging or target market. A description of the task that is as precise as possible shortens the preliminary assessment and facilitates the selection of technically suitable alternatives.

Where necessary and feasible for the specific project, a sample programme is agreed upon prior to series production.
Following approval, production, delivery and any subsequent call-offs will be co-ordinated via MAG.
An existing MAG item can often serve as a technical starting point – for example, for a different length, colour, or plug-socket combination. Where possible, please state the item number in your enquiry or provide a link to the relevant standard item. This allows us to check more quickly which modifications are possible and what the minimum order quantity is.

As a general guide, this is around 500 units or, depending on the project, an order value of approximately 2,000 EUR or more. The actual minimum quantity possible depends on the cable type, tools, materials, testing requirements and design.
For selected customised power cables, such a small batch can be assessed. This does not imply general availability; technical feasibility, materials and specific project conditions are the determining factors.
For new projects, approximately 20 to 24 weeks is a typical guide. The specific timetable begins once the specification and necessary approvals have been finalised and depends on the materials, design and production capacity.
It is helpful to provide details of the application, connections, pin configuration, length, colour, target markets, standards or approvals, initial order quantity, annual requirement, packaging and desired delivery date. Drawings, samples or existing MAG item numbers facilitate allocation.
A stock item can often serve as a starting point. Whether, for example, the length, colour, connection or marking can be changed is assessed on the basis of the specific item and the required quantity.
The required target markets and approvals should be specified in the enquiry. We will assess whether a suitable version with the necessary certification is available or feasible for the respective product and project.
