The DisplayPort interface connects the PC or notebook with TFT monitors or plasma / LCD TV devices that have a corresponding interface.
Note / Please note:
In general, all DisplayPort (DP) to HDMI cables and/or passive adapters are monodirectional, i.e. only work in the DP to HDMI (monitor) direction.
Technical background: The DisplayPort interface can output an HDMI signal. However, there is no DisplayPort signal at an HDMI port.
The latter type of signal conversion is only possible with an active converter (signal converter).
