This connection cable connects a US mains socket (NEMA 1-15) to devices that use an IEC 60320 C7 appliance socket (often referred to as "Figure-8"). The SPT-2 construction (parallel loader, thermoplastic jacket) is designed for rugged handling and reliable power delivery in commercial applications.

The 90° angled C7 plug is optimised for installations with limited installation space, e.g. behind devices, in racks or in densely occupied connection panels. This reduces the required plug depth and the cable routing can be routed closer to the device.

The illustration of the plug is decisive, as the designation left/right/top/bottom angled depends on the respective point of view.
